See exactly what lands in your bank account after Etsy takes its cut.
Fee rates — edit if yours differ
These load from the marketplace you picked above. Etsy changes its rates and applies extra fees in some countries, so check your Payment account and overwrite anything that does not match.
Listing fee— USD 0.20 each time you list an item, and again automatically every four months or when a copy sells. On non-USD shops it is converted, so the amount moves with the exchange rate.
Transaction fee— 6.5% of the whole order total, and that includes the shipping and gift wrap you charge the buyer. Charging more for shipping does not dodge it.
Payment processing— a percentage plus a fixed amount per order, set by the country your bank account is in, not by where the buyer lives.
Offsite Ads— 15% of the order when a sale comes from an ad Etsy bought for you, or 12% once your shop passes 10,000 in annual sales. Under that threshold it is optional; above it, it is mandatory. Either way the fee is capped at 100 per order.
Regulatory operating fee— a small percentage of the order charged to sellers in certain countries. It rose again on 22 June 2026: the UK to 0.48%, France to 1.14%, Italy to 0.80%, Spain to 0.88%. Germany, the US, Canada and Australia do not pay it.
Why does my profit look worse here than in other calculators?
Because this one counts postage and materials against you even when the buyer pays for shipping, and it lets you price your own labour. Most calculators quietly stop at revenue minus Etsy fees.
Are these rates current for my country?
The presets follow Etsy's published rates for each marketplace, but Etsy revises them and some countries carry extra charges. Open the fee panel and overwrite any number that does not match your Payment account.
What margin should I aim for?
Most handmade sellers target 30% to 50% after fees and materials. Below 20% a single refund, a lost parcel, or a postage rise wipes out the order.
